Clarifications to Provincial Rules

General

Protests

Coaches have the right to inquire about their gymnast’s Start Value (SV) with the Chair of the Apparatus Jury (CAJ), but not about the execution deductions.

If a coach is not satisfied with the result of their inquiry, they may approach the Chair of the Competition Jury (CCJ) and further inquire about the CAJ’s ruling.

Warm-up

Gymnasts should warm-up in the same order that they compete. Please report any warm-up issues with the CAJ.

All gymnasts are entitled to at least a two touch warm-up at the discretion of the CAJ. Please be efficient so as not to slow down the entire competition.

Pommel Horse

All elements start and finish in front support (stomach facing down).

Level 1

Floor
Cart wheel to dive roll. The dive roll is a leap off of one foot as per the text.

Level 2

Pommel Horse
It is the responsibility of the gymnast to ensure that they have completed 360º of rotation in their spindle. The CAJ will accept up to 315º (full spindle less 45º) of rotation with a large error and count in favour of the gymnast for the remaining three circles.

Updated Level 1 and Level Provincials Rules.

Available online. Changes have been highlighted.

Third Ontario Qualifier hosted by Burlington BGs

Argos and Tyros

Argo and Tyro HP will be competing Day 2 Routines.

Changes to Schedule

Friday night

The Tyros have been moved to the Friday night session in order to follow he same warm-up that they will use at Canadian Championships. This necessitates having seven rotations (one ‘by’). Seniors will have the first ‘by’ and the Tyro will finish on their ‘by’

NOTE: The 10 minute apparatus warm-up time will be strictly enforced. Groups must rotate when announced.

The ‘one touch’ warm-up will be timed (30 sec per gymnast except on Parallel Bars which is 50 seconds). Warm-up time will be strictly enforced and 0.3 per infraction will be added to the gymnast Final Score (FS) for that apparatus.

Coaches; it is your responsibility to ensure that your gymnasts understand and are prepared to warm-up within their allotted time.

Saturday Evening

As above, Tyros have been moved to Friday night.
