CAMBRIDGE- Dynamo Gymnastics Sports Centre’s provincial gymnasts continue to find success after giving medal-winning performances at a recent qualifier in Oshawa, bringing home 26 medals – seven gold, 11 silver and eight bronze.

Kicking off the weekend-long meet were the club’s level 6, age 9 gymnasts Abby Walls, Ophelia Frank and Madelaine Ivey.

Walls won three medals, including bronze for all-around, gold on bars and gold on floor, and placed sixth on vault and eighth on beam.

Frank won three medals of her own, taking silver on beam, bronze on vault and floor, and landed in seventh all-around and 10th spot on bars.

Ivey also gave strong performances, placing ninth in all-around, fourth on vault and bars, and 10th on beam and floor.

Dynamo’s Rhianne Robbins and Maria Rob also made their mark in the meet’s level 6, age 12 division, with Robbins winning a gold medal on beam.

Robbins was also seventh in all-around, fourth on vault, ninth on floor and 10th on bars.

Rob was 11th all-around, and gave solid routines on all events, placing sixth on vault, eighth on bars, seventh on beam and 12th on floor.

Peyton Sumner, competing in the provincial qualifier’s level 7, age 9 division, made five trips to the podium, winning bronze for all-around, silver on vault, bars and floor, as well as bronze on beam.

Gymnasts Cassie Emery and Tia Meheshem also represented in the meet’s level 7, age 12-13 division.

Emery was 12th in all-around, 13th in vault, 17th in bars, fourth in beam and seventh in floor, while Meheshem was 18th all-around, 16th in vault, 11th in bars, 18th in beam and 15th in floor.

Taking on gymnasts in the level 8, age 10-11 category were Payton Murray and Abby Spence, both giving medal-worthy performances.

Murray won bronze in all-around, silver in beam and floor, and placed fourth in vault and fifth in bars.

Spence won a silver for floor and placed sixth in all-around, fifth in vault, fourth in bars and sixth in beam.

Isabella Areias, competing in level 8, age 12-13, won a silver medal for vault and showcased a stunning routine on floor to take fourth spot.

She also placed fourth in all-around, sixth in bars and fourth in beam.

The Dynamo team ended with finesse, winning a heap of medals in the level 9 division’s age 12-13 and 14 years and up category.

Audrey Lee (14 years and up) was seventh in all-around, vault and beam, as well as fourth in floor and fifth in bars.

Brooklyn Moors and Megan DiPietro (age 12-13) won five medals each.

DiPietro won silver in all-around, bars and beam, as well as bronze in vault and in floor.

Moors won four gold medals for all-around, bars, beam and floor, as well as a silver in vault.

Moors also just recently won two medals while competing as part of Team Ontario at the Lady Luck International Invitational in Las Vegas.

Moors won a bronze medal for her floor routine, as well as a bronze medal for Team Ontario’s third place team finish.
