UTOPIA – It takes more than hairspray and a jazzy leotard to impress the judges at the Ontario Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championship, but Infinity Gymnastics athletes brought their game faces.
Sadie Finkelstein (fifth on vault) and fellow Infinity teammates Savanna Inman (seventh on floor), Samantha Carrier (fifth on beam, seventh on bars), Hailey Kohler (team high score), Hannah Carpentier-Wiggins (eighth on floor), Emily Wickett (first on vault, third on bars, sixth on floor and third all around), Teaghen Couling (first on floor, fifth on vault and seventh all around) and Karli Stevenson (seventh on Bars) were all in fine form.
The team from Utopia travelled to Windsor and competed against some of the best gymnasts in the province.
This very young competitive squad ranges in age from 10 to 12 years. The team spent a busy year in their new facility attending qualifying competitions and edged out hundreds of other athletes to earn a berth to the meet.
