Richmond Gymnastics Association is a non-profit association that has been serving the community since the year 1968. It embodies its motto of ‘Friendship, Excellence and Respect’ in every aspect of delivering above-par training in the field of gymnastics to aspiring gymnasts. RGA has always been proud of its history and the legacy left behind by its exemplary coaches. It is this history that makes RGA what is it today!
RGA moved to its brand-new facility in July 2016. Its centralised location, close to transit and right next to the Olympic Oval, attracts members from the neighboring cities. As such RGA is growing and growing fast….
RGA is looking for a coach for its WAG competitive program. A coach who is willing to work full-time/part-time, invest talent with the competitive athletes and help them achieve their potential.
Start date: Immediately
Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and certifications
Up to 5 years of competitive coaching experience
Strong technical knowledge of artistic gymnastics
NCCP level 2 WAG, higher consideration for level 3
Some high performance and national experience is valuable
Valid First Aid or willing to take certification
Criminal record check, with special attention to the vulnerable sector
Effective communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to analyse and evaluate athletes, provide feedback for effective training and practice sessions
Prepare athletes for competitions
Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently. Not hesitate to take the leadership role when situation demands.
