TGI is looking for an enthusiastic coach interested in assisting with our men’s and women’s competitive programs and filling out their hours with recreational coaching. We’re looking for an individual for 25+ hours a week, who will coach our national/senior-provincial men’s program, assist as required with other groups in our men’s and women’s competitive program, and coach recreational groups as required. We are looking for a self-motivated, well rounded, committed and positive individual to join our growing team! The coach will work with athletes of various ages and abilities, and should be able to work evenings and weekends.
The coach will interact positively with athletes and will regularly keep parents up to date on their child’s progress. They will work closely with TGI’s team of coaches across our program to ensure the best experience for all involved.
Coaching schedules vary, and salary will be determined based on experience.
3 + year coaching Men’s Gymnastics
3 + year coaching Women’s Gymnastics
Minimum NCCP Level 3 Technical and Theory for MAG, working towards level 3 Certification
Minimum NCCP Level 2 WAG Certified and Level 2 Trampoline.
First Aid Certification
Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Risk Management B certification
Must be able to coach all six events MAG events and four WAG events
Passion for gymnastics
Ability to motivate athletes of various abilities, ages, and levels
Willingness to work in a child-centered environment with dedication towards promoting longevity in sport for all participants
Excellent communication skills with athletes and ability to talk with parents
Dedicated team player with the ability to take the initiative and be independent
Self motivated, responsible and reliable
Flexible work hours are required (weekends and weekday evenings)
