Long Service Pins

Purpose:

This award recognizes the many hours of service performed by Gymnastics Ontario members to organize and run the many programs and services offered for our athletes. This recognition is in the form of lapel pins, which have been designed to reflect service in 5-year increments ranging from 5 to 25-plus years.

Eligibility Criteria:

A member who has served gymnastics in Ontario will be presented with a specially designed pin based on the following years of service completed:
Bronze Pin ( 5 years)            Silver Pin  (10 years)
Gold Pin    (15 years)            Antique Gold Pin (20 years)
Gold Pin with Diamond Insert (25 years & more)

Submission Details:

Members are responsible for maintaining their own service records on a regular basis, and are encouraged to submit their Personal Record Update form by the submission deadline in order to be considered for this award. Clubs may also assist their members to keep accurate records, and upon submission to G.O., may request long service recognition awards on behalf of them.  Personal Record Forms should be submitted to:

Selection:

Recipients will be approved by the Awards Committee after confirmation of Gymnastics Ontario membership records.

Award Presentation:

5, 10, 15 year Pins:    Presentations will be at a suitable venue, or sent to the recipient by mail.

20 & 25 year Pins:    Presentations will be made at the Annual Awards Banquet. These recipients will receive one complimentary ticket to the Awards Banquet, and photos may be posted on the G.O. website (with permission by signing the Image Release Form). Awards not presented at the Awards Banquet will be sent to the recipient by mail.
