In addition to the competitive women’s artistic, tumbling and trampoline programs, GymZone offers recreational babies and pre-school classes, Kinder StarZ, Trampoline, T.O.P StarZ, girls, boys, teen and adult programs.
GymZone was involved in hosting NCCP courses, NOSA and OFSAA gymnastics and aerobic championships.
The Club’s involvement in National Coaches Week included 55 participants, Canadian Gymnastics Week / I Love Gymnastics engaged 850 participants.
GymZone was involved in several promotional activities and events such as R.L. Beattie Fun Fair, Chelmsford Days, Canada Day, Cam ABC, Autism Ontario, Espanola Valley East Days, just to name a few. They also participated in a six week radio marketing campaign and a one week Christmas Commercial. GymZone athletes were featured in at least 8 articles in Sudburysports.com
Coaches and staff completed on online epi-pen training course, equipment checks, first aid/CPR, fire safety and have also created a workplace Health and Safety Awareness Committee.
GymZone also had their first ever High Performance athletes competing in women’s artistic and trampoline disciplines. Owner Jack Miller was honored with the Gene Sutton Special Achievement Award and owner Lisa Kivinen was inducted into the Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame.
