Position; Director of Recreation
Full Time: yes (part time also available)
Salary: $37:440- $62,400 yr
Schedule: Sat OR Sun 8-4/ Mon1-9/Tues 1-9/Wed 1-9/Thurs 1-9
Qualifications:
Comp 1, Trampoline 2 (or willing to obtain)
Sport Management Diploma or Physical Education Degree (preferred)
Standard First Aid and CRP
Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector
NCCP Making Ethical Decisions
NCCP Making Headway in Sport
NCCP Safe Sport Training

Hire According to Company Needs and Prepare in Advance for Future Changes
Advertise as needed
Conduct Interviews, Orientations, Contracts
Keep Accurate Records
Consult with H.R as needed
Training of Rec Staff
Scheduling of CITs
Training of CITs
Register Coaches with GO
Ensure Coaches are certified within 3 months
Supervise as scheduled during primetime
Evaluate Staff
Provide Letter of Expectation or Performance Improvement Plan as Necessary.
Train Department Leaders
Quality Control
Ensure Progressive Programs
Ensure Monthly Themes and Values are incorporated into all classes and camps
Ensure coaches in the floor are qualified to teach
Ensure coaches are teaching according to the set curriculums
Communication
Communicate Company Needs & Obtain Availability of Staff
Report Monthly on the Rec Program
Regularly Communicate with Staff via Department News
Meet with Department Managers Monthly and as often as necessary
Meet with Rec Staff Monthly
Meet Monthly with Club Director or GM
Find subs when required
Communicate with Members re Makeups, Closures, Spots Available,Issues, Solutions, etc
Collaborate with Department Leaders Weekly
Collaborate Regularly with the Office Team and Marketing
Programming and Scheduling
Program Classes According to Demands as per Waitlists and Students Progressing in a Timely Manner
Maintain Capacity Charts and Schedules
Program and Coordinate Camps and PADays
Staff PA Days, March Break Camp
Schedule Staff minimum 2 weeks in advance of season and or camps and communicate ahead to staff company needs and expected and required shifts from trained staff
Rotation schedules for rec programs
Ensure Testing is completed in real time as often as scheduled
Coordinate Testing and Reports with the team in preparation for Achievement Weeks
Review and Approve Report Cards ahead of Achievement Week
Create Lesson Plans to to Assist Staff
Collaborate with Camp and all Staff Scheduling
Coordinate Makeup Classes as scheduled
Coordinate Clinics for Blackout Dates as scheduled
Events / Other
Direct and assist with planning and execution of Gymstars Meet
Prepare and Execute Year End Show
Assist with Equipment for competitions hosted and filling volunteer gaps as scheduled.
Make Recommendations for Rec Equipment
Purchase equipment as needed
Coach Adv. and/or Gymstars Programs 6-10 hrs minimum.
Other related tasks as required.
