All Star Sports Centre is seeking mature, responsible gymnastics coaches who love kids and are 18 yrs+. Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work a minimum of 1 day on the weekend. This position involves coaching gymnastics classes to children approximately 18 mo to 13 yrs of age.
Successful Candidates will:
- have minimum 1 year coaching experience is preferred
- if you have ECE certification and are willing to be trained as a coach for 5 and under programs, we are interested in you
- be Foundations Trained in Artistic and Trampoline and Active Sport (if your interest is in 5 and under). Must be willing to obtain these courses and work towards certification.
- have Competition 1, plus Level 1 Trampoline (or willing to obtain within 3 months) is required for advanced recreational programs
- have their Risk Management Certificate, Respect in Sport, First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
- have their Criminal & Vulnerable Sector Check
- have spotting skills is an asset but not required
- be a team player, able to follow instructions, take direction, accept decisions, contribute ideas
- be willing to study and learn skills and techniques in the recreational program curriculum
- have a positive attitude and must be an excellent role model at all times
- have excellent communication skills
- be flexible, adaptable, versatile, detail oriented and safety cautious
- be a positive motivator, team player, willing to continuously increase technical and coaching knowledge
- have excellent leadership and positive communication skills with athletes and parents as well as foo;;ow coaches
- help develop and grow our programs and membership and mentor coaches, if applicable, as needed
- be willing to assist with all screening, cleaning and other requirements due to the pandemic to contribute to athletes and staff safety
Hourly rate: will depend on qualifications & experience Hrs: 10 – 25 hrs/wk available
Schedule: min 2 evenings and 1 day on the weekend Position: Part time Start Date: Aug 2021
We are located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. We have an exceptional 17,000 square foot, air conditioned facility, with in ground trampolines, pits and a separate preschool area to make for an optimal coaching environment..
