Bluewater Gymnastics Club is seeking a:

WAG Competitive Compulsory Coordinator – Full-Time

The duties of the Compulsory Coordinator are primarily hands on coaching and day-to-day administration and shall include the development, organization, and implementation of the Compulsory Program under the direction of the Head Coach.


The Compulsory Coordinator shall devote approximately 34 hours per week coaching pre-competitive and competitive gymnastics.


Looking for a skilled, outgoing and motivated WAG coach with strong basics and proper technique.


 Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Be able to work unsupervised and provide mentorship for other coaches
  • Have experience in conducting pre-competitive and compulsory competitive programs
  • Excellent spotting skills
  • Ability to teach compulsory choreography for beam and floor
  • Support with parent meetings and team coaches’ meetings
  • Communicate with gymnasts and families on the gymnast’s progress regularly
  • Help with administrative work
  • Willing to work occasionally with recreational programs
  • Willing to assist with the screening due to the pandemic
  • Travelling to competitions and events as required


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Minimum NCCP Level 2 Competition
  • Level 2 Trampoline is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience coaching pre-competitive and/or competitive programs.
  • Respect in Sport
  • Ability to teach choreography and to choreograph routines an asset.
  • Good team player that is willing to continuously increase knowledge and qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available to work afternoons, evenings
  • Available to work and travel on some weekends (for competitions and events)
  • Attend competitions and training camps


Wage Range:

Salaried position includes benefits.  Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
