HOW CAN I FIND MY NCCP CREDENTIALS?
Have you already taken NCCP training, but do not know where to find old credentials? These will be housed in The Locker.
But what is The Locker? It is an online database managed by the Coaching Association of Canada, in partnership with the National and Provincial Sport Organization. Access to The Locker will provide coaches with the opportunity to track their training progress and guide their coaching development. The Locker is the only nationally recognized transcript for coaching credentials in Canada. Certification Maintenance & Professional Development points are also tracked in The Locker.
Click here to learn more about the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
HOW DO I LOG INTO THE LOCKER?
Older Locker accounts may have been created on behalf of the coach and are sometimes missing an email associated with the account. If you have never logged into the Locker, you may require assistance.
Email education@gymnasticsontario.ca for help with accessing your Locker account for the first time. You will need to know your NCCP # for assistance.
If you have logged into The Locker, but have forgotten your NCCP #, email associated with your account and/or the password, you can click Look up my NCCP# or Forgot password? on The Locker’s login page. If you are still having trouble, contact The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) directly for assistance: coach@coach.ca
HOW OLD DOES A COACH NEED TO BE TO BEGIN NCCP TRAINING?
Coaches must be 14+ to create an NCCP account in The Locker. They may begin taking the Foundations Theory eLearning components at this time.
Coaches must be 15+ to attend an NCCP Foundations Technical course.
Coaches must be 15+ years of age to attend an NCCP Competition Stream course. They must also be 16+ to be evaluated and become Certified in any context (including Foundations).
CAN I VIEW A COACH’S TRANSCRIPT IN THE LOCKER?
Yes you can! The coach will need to provide you with their NCCP number and their last name (as it appears in their account) in order to look up their public transcript.
If you wish to verify the NCCP qualifications of a coach (with their permission), you can do so by using The Locker’s Coach Public Transcript page to view their NCCP credentials.
CAN I TAKE AN NCCP COURSE IF I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH A MEMBER CLUB?
If you are not affiliated with a Gymnastics Ontario member club, but want to take one of our NCCP courses, please complete the Unattached Participant Form. This does not apply to people registered with another Gymnastics PTSO. Out of Province participants should email membership@gymnasticsontario.ca for information on how to register with Gymnastics Ontario.
