Kawartha Gymnastics is Seeking a Recreational Coordinator

Kawartha Gymnastics is excited to invite applications for the position of Recreational Coordinator. This permanent full-time position (32-44 hours per week) is critical to the success of our recreational programs, camps, and special events. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and oversee training schedules for recreational programs, ensuring alignment with Gymnastics Ontario and Kawartha Gymnastics standards.
  • Lead coach scheduling and maintain adequate staffing levels to support high-quality programming.
  • Deliver inclusive recreational programming, including camps and events, that aligns with our mission and coaching philosophy.
  • Monitor program participation, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance participant experience.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of skill tracking and reporting systems for athletes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and operational policies, including incident reporting and health guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to meet strategic objectives and ensure program success.
  • Provide mentorship and support to recreational coaches, fostering professional growth and program excellence.

  Qualifications:

 

  • NCCP Comp 1 Trained certification (or higher).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Experience with Gymnastics Ontario recreational program guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet program needs.
  • Physical capability to move equipment and support athlete safety during programs.
