(Part Time or Full Time Position)
The Kitchener Waterloo Gymnastics Centre located in the community of Victoria Hills in Kitchener Ontario, is a not for profit organization that was established in 1965 and has been servicing the community for over 50 years. Our mission is to inspire enthusiasm for and lifelong involvement in gymnastics by providing positive and diverse programming.
We are currently seeking an individual for the position of Men’s Artistic Coach for our growing program. Applicants who are willing to work with Pre-Competitive and Provincial level athletes and coach in a supportive and positive MAG Team setting are preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Regular coaching expectations within the decided schedule
- Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
- Nurture and develop athletes’ potential skills and abilities
- Develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs
- Analyze and evaluate athletes’ performances and modify training programs as needed
- Attending competitions, training camps, etc. As requested
- Attending club and MAG program staff meetings & training sessions as requested
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- 3 to 5 years experience coaching pre-comp & competitive level Men’s gymnastics
- ability to work in a strong team environment
- excellent communication skills
- energetic, active and engaging while coaching, to create a positive training environment
- Comp 1 MAG & Trampoline certified or equivalent education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience is required
- First Aid Certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required
