Kitchener Waterloo Gymnastics is Seeking a Women’s Artistic Coach

The KW Gymnastics Club (KWGC) has been a recognized community sports pioneer in the region for over five decades. KWGC is a not-for-profit organization, offering a variety of classes for all ages and abilities. As a community-based organization, KWGC’s mission is to offer diverse opportunities that promote life-long participation, nurture athletic excellence, and promote confidence, and enjoyment, in a safe and respectful environment to foster the love of gymnastics. Under the guidance of knowledgeable coaching, administrative staff and volunteer board of directors, KWGC continues to strive to be a respected leader in providing inclusive quality sport programs that foster personal growth.

Reports To: WAG Head Coach & Program Director

Position:  Full Time Position

Start Date:  Flexible

Wage:  Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications & Complete Benefits Package
**Relocation Expense Could be Considered**

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coaching athletes within a decided schedule
  • Working collaboratively to complete lesson planning
  • Attendance at competitions, training camps, etc.
  • Attend Club and WAG program staff meetings & training sessions

 

Knowledge, Skills & Certification:

  • Experience coaching at the pre-competitive, compulsory and optional levels in Women’s artistic gymnastics
  • Seeks initiative to complete tasks independently
  • Ability to work in a strong team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Energetic, active and engaging while coaching, to create a positive training environment for athletes
  • Minimum Comp 2 WAG Certified & Comp 1 Trampoline certified
  • First Aid certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check will also be required
