Krista has been a Burlington Gymnastic Club member for the past eight years and has actively participated on many operational committees, including the hosting committee of the Annual Burlington Spring Cup.
Since joining the Board in November 2023, Krista has been instrumental in spearheading, guiding and executing BGC’s governance review and by-law revisions to align with the Ontario Not for Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). Her expertise and experience navigating through legalize and governance modeling has been key in achieving a new director for BGC. Her ability to transfer difficult concepts into practical layman terms has been extremely helpful in fulfilling our mandate in a timely manner. She has created and populated templates and tools to support the Board in utilizing new terms of reference, and she continues to educate the Board on their responsibilities under the new governance model.
