London Gymnastics is Seeking a Recreational Director

Are you a fun, energetic, organized individual who loves gymnastics, working with children, and promoting physical activity? London Gymnastics Academy is hiring a Recreational Gymnastics Director!

 

The Recreational Gymnastics Director is responsible for the successful management and operation of the recreational gymnastics, tumbling, ninja classes, and camp programs at London Gymnastics Academy. This role involves overseeing staff, scheduling, administrative tasks, communication with clients, and utilizing technology platforms such as JackRabbit and social media for program promotion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Site Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recreational gymnastics program.
  • Ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

 

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, hire, schedule, and train coaches for recreational classes.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for coaches.
  • Manage administrative staff, communicating expectations and tasks effectively.

 

Scheduling:

  • Plan and schedule sessions, including start and end dates, pricing, and holidays.
  • Coordinate with department heads and owners to align scheduling with overall business needs.
  • Maintain rotation schedules and ensure smooth coordination with competitive gym programs.

 

JackRabbit Administration:

  • Utilize JackRabbit for administrative organization and management of recreational programs.
  • Manage client information, registrations, athlete progress, staff communication, and sales data.
  • Approve payroll and ensure accurate tracking of staff hours.

 

Communications/Client Relations:

  • Assist clients with inquiries regarding program information, class offerings, camps, and policies.
  • Address client complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Manage communication channels including email and phone.

 

Social Media:

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to promote recreational programs on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Communicate essential information such as session details and camps through social media platforms.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
  • National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Competition 1 trained/certified or willing to obtain (NCCP foundations certification required).
  • Standard first aid/CPR certification
  • Completion of a police vulnerable sector check required.
  • Administrative experience

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires working evenings and weekends to accommodate class schedules and client needs (approximate schedule: Mon-Thurs 1-8pm, Sat or Sun 9am-2pm)
  • The role involves both office work and on-the-floor supervision of classes and staff.
