Milton will be well represented in high-stakes trampoline competition later this spring.
A member of the nearby Manjak’s Gymnastics Club, Tyler Carruthers will test himself in both solo and synchro action at the national championships in late May in Gatineau, Quebec after his first-place finish in Level 5 at the Ontario Cup.
The 17-year-old will team up with fellow Miltonian David Johnston in the synchro event.
Reigning supreme at the provincial championships in Windsor in individual trampoline Level 2 — doing so in the 15 and over girls ranks — Melissa Riddell will represent Team Ontario at the upcoming eastern nationals in Moncton, New Brunswick.
She’ll also join forces with 16-year-old Wynne Manning for synchro trampoline at the prestigious Brett Babcock Invitational in Oshawa in June.
In gymnastics competition, Cameryn Manning placed sixth overall in the Level 2, 12-year-old division at the provincials.
That was thanks to his bread-and-butter floor routine, which has consistently put him on the podium over the past two years and landed him silver in Windsor.
He’s also a member of the Milton Speed Skating Club, but took this season off to focus on his gymnastics.
Making her provincial gymnastics debut this spring, Wynne Manning placed 10th overall in Level 1.
