Oakville Gymnastics is Seeking a Women’s Artistic Coach

Oakville Gymnastics Club is currently seeking a full-time Level 3 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach for an immediate start. We are looking for an experienced individual who can contribute coaching, leadership, and administration to the WAG program.

 

Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, Administrative Manager, and the Management Team, to ensure the smooth running of the competitive programs, and effective overall operation of the Club. With your strong focus on beam and floor, you and your partner coach will be working primarily with provincial level athletes. The Gymnastics Coaches in each competitive discipline will work as a team to develop a strong, safe, and sustainable competitive program. Hours will be mostly evenings and weekends.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

Your role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with senior staff on pre-season try-outs.
  • Seasonal planning including athlete placements and coaching schedules.
  • Instructing participants, overseeing safety, and providing supervision and guidance.
  • Preparing for and attending competitions.
  • Communicate with parents, including email updates, and meetings, if required.

Qualifications and Skills

 

Applicants must have:

  • Level 3 WAG
  • Level 2 Trampoline (or be willing to obtain)
  • First Aid/CPR (or be willing to obtain)
  • Respect In Sport
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Previous WAG program management experience is an asset
