Recreational Program Coordinator
Do you have a passion for physical development and love working with children? We are looking for a bright and energetic recreational coordinator to lead our growing recreational program. This would be a full-time position (30-40 hours per week), that would allow you to bring your creativity for program planning along with your passion for and experience coaching children of all ages. Active Start and/or Comp 1 training would be an asset, as well as experience developing young athletes and having a desire to make a difference in the lives of children and the local community.

About Okanagan Gymnastics Centre:
The Okanagan Gymnastics Centre is a dynamic non-profit organization that provides the community with a full range of recreational and competitive gymnastics programs for participants 18 months to adult. OGC is located in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia and has one of the largest facilities in the province, including an 11,000 square foot gym.
As the Recreational Program Coordinator, you will be an engaging leader and well organized. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our recreational program including class scheduling, program communications, planning weekly themes and fun special events and camps, you will have an interest and experience in hiring, mentoring and developing junior coaches, and be a resource for inquiries and registration questions for our recreational classes. As a member of our leadership team, you will bring a wealth of ideas and enthusiasm, strong communication skills both verbal and written, a ‘can do’ personality and a desire to provide and model high quality gymnastics instruction. You are committed to exceptional customer service and have a welcoming demeanor and will be a friendly face for children, parents and guardians.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active Start or Comp1 trained coach preferred
Cleared criminal record check – vulnerable sector
Completion of Respect in Sport
Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C beneficial
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
