Safe Sport

At Gymnastics Ontario, we believe in having a participant-centred environment that is respectful, equitable, and inclusive. All participants, including athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, volunteers, parents, and all others, should be able to partake in a sport environment that is free from abuse, discrimination, harassment, and all other harms. All spaces should be inclusive so everyone can feel physically, psychologically, emotionally, and culturally safe.

We use measures like risk management, insurance, and policies to help everyone feel safe while participating in gymnastics.  We have developed ethical standards to ensure everyone feels welcome and empowered. We want to prioritize the welfare, safety, and rights of every participant at all times to create a Safe Sport environment.
