Scarborough Gym Elites is a non-profit organization located in south-east Scarborough that has been serving our local community for 25 years! We deliver a variety of artistic gymnastics programs at the recreational and competitive level.

The Administrative Coordinator helps keep the Club running smoothly by handling a wide variety of administrative tasks. They coordinate program operations, volunteers, fundraising and special events while serving as a point of contact for employees and customers. They also provide administrative support to the Executive Director and ensure everything is on schedule to meet or exceed deadlines. The Administrative Coordinator will aim to improve workflows through efficient resource utilization, continuous improvement, and cross-program collaboration.

 

As a youth-serving organization, our programs run primarily after school and on weekends.  As a result, this position requires evening and weekend work.

 

The Administrative Coordinator will be flexible by nature. They must be comfortable with shifting priorities, multi-tasking and stepping up to help when needed. In addition, we are looking for someone with:

 

  • A college diploma or university degree in sport management, recreational leadership, non-profit administration or similar.
  • Personal experience in recreational or competitive sports.
  • Strong desire to work in a child-focused environment.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (particularly MS Word and MS Excel).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Solid time-management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
