Sue Kenny – Coach of the Year – Women’s Artistic – Competitive

Sue, a member of Kitchener-Waterloo Gymnastics Club, is a team player and positive change maker, who does not shy away from difficult conversations and puts the wellbeing, positive experience and learning of her athletes first.  Sue is dedicated to creating a competitive sport environment where athletes can thrive regardless of personal circumstance.

 

Sue enjoys attending webinars and sourcing drills ideas from other coaches.  Sue has dedicated many hours to master spotting of more challenging skills for Level 10 and High Performance athletes, and is also pursuing further NCCP certification.

 

Sue fosters teamwork and determination in her athletes as they strive to do their best. Her athletes have qualified for provincial and eastern championships this season.

 

Sue is committed to the sport and the development of balance between sport, education and life.

 

Sue has dedicated over 40 years to coaching, and she continues to approach each season with renewed excitement for personal improvement and growth not only for her athletes but also for herself.
