Congratulations to Ontario athletes Patricia Bezzoubenko (Salut, Svetlana Joukova) and Carmen Whelan (Silhouettes of York, Iana Nadtotchii) who represented Canada this past weekend, August 7-9th, at the 2015 RG World Cup in Budapest, Hungary.
Along with competing individually, Bezzoubenko and Whelan aided the GCG group in placing 11th with a total score of 30.25. View complete results here.
Both athletes took part in the Pan Am Games in July and are now gearing up for the 34th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany this September.
Whelan and fellow Ontarian, Katherine Uchida (Jusco RGC, Stefka Moutafchieva) will also participate in the World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, August 15-16th, while Bezzoubenko and the GCG group will compete in the World Cup in Kazan, Russia, August 21-23rd.
