Victoria Iddison, Alliston Athletics Gymnastics Club, Receives Women’s Artistic Recreation Coach of the Year Award

Victoria (Vickie) Iddison has been coaching for 15 years in both the recreational and the competitive programs.  She is a Level 2 women’s artistic coach.

Vickie’s dedication to her athletes is incomparable. She motivates her gymnasts in a positive way which is so very important to the athlete’s development.  This is quite amazing to watch.  She has played a huge role in the success of so many athletes in the club, many of which have gone on to Provincial Championships and Nationals.  She is an integral part of the club’s success on so many levels, not the least of which is our annual provincial qualifier meet.  This event relies heavily on her support and leadership.

Vickie’s primary focus presently is our recreational programs.  As our head Recreation Coach, she is constantly looking for ways to improve our programs and always has the best interests of the athletes and coaches at heart.  Her devotion to them has continued during these unprecedented times of COVID-19.  Vickie used her downtime to not only maintain a connection to her coaches and athletes any way she could but also to develop new programs and research different ways to keep our recreation programs fresh and fun.

Vicki also devotes time and energy, motivating our young athletes who show an interest in coaching, encouraging them to pursue that interest, eagerly sharing all her experience and knowledge.

Congratulations!
