❗ #ONGymWeek DISCIPLINE SPOTLIGHT: ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS ❗ 🤸 Acrobatic Gymnastics (Acro) is a stunning sport with roots dating back to 2000 BC. 🤸 Acro routines blend strength, flexibility, and tumbling, performed either in partnerships or individually, all set to music. This discipline includes men’s, women’s, and mixed pairs, as well as group routines with up to six athletes! 🤸 Acro is a fun and accessible discipline— all you need is a floor and a friend! No partner? No problem— try using blocks! 🤸 These routines feature handstands, balances, and more, making them an excellent complement to any gymnastics training. Plus, Acro builds incredible teamwork, trust, and communication skills, while improving balance, coordination, and body awareness. 🤸 Not just fun, Acro also gives athletes a competitive edge in other gymnastics disciplines. As this sport grows globally, with elite competitions like the World Championships, it continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible!
